YACHTSHOTS BVI - A GREAT WAY TO GET A PHOTOGRAPH OF YOUR YACHT UNDER FULL SAIL
IN THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS

December 2006
If you're sailing between Norman Island and Peter, between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., and the sun is out, chances are you'll see a figure standing in an inflatable, roaring past your bow. This would be one of the professional photographers from Yacht Shots BVI.
This is a great way to get a photograph of your boat under full sail - often a difficult feat, particularly when bareboating.
You can either make sure you are in the right place at the right time, will all sails up or give them a call to arrange an appointment. Either way, photographs of your boat will be uploaded to the internet with the boat name and date. Check their website when you get home and order any shots you want. You can either download them or they will send you a CD. Prices range from $10 to $50 per shot, depending on how many you order. In addition, you can order prints on anything from high quality paper to T-shirts, mugs and BBQ aprons!
Guy started the company, back in 1995. You can spot him easily - he's the one with the dog in the bow of the inflatable.
Brynley joined him in 2000 and Erik, the third photographer, arrived last year.
Guy and Brynley operate from Nanny Cay, but Erik is up in North Sound. If you are headed in that direction, you can often view your photographs in his office.
Photographs remain on their website for approximately 60-90 days, but you can contact Yacht Shots for any archived photographs. They keep them all!
If you have ever tried to photograph the yacht you are chartering from a dinghy, you know how hard this can be for anything other than an anchor shot. We feel this is a great service, both for bareboat and crewed charters. If you try them out, let us know what you think.
Hint: If you're using Safari, and the photographs at the top of the page disappear, you can get them back by refreshing the page.
