 Barbara and I have known Steve for many years and watched him rise through the ranks of first Sun Yachts, then Stardust and now Sunsail USA, where he eventually became General Manager.
When the new owner of Sunsail and Moorings decided to combine the two companies' booking offices and move the Sunsail office toFlorida, we saw an excellent opportunity to add Steve to our team. We feel incredibly lucky to have been able to attract someone of his calibre to join us. Ed Hamilton & Co has had a record year, with sales up an amazing 40 % this summer, and we can't think of a better person to help us expand into the future.

Ed Hamilton & Co names Steve McCrea as General Manager
WISCASSET, ME – Ed Hamilton & Co, the largest and most respected Caribbean charter brokerage in the industry, appoints Steve McCrea to the newly formed role of General Manager.
As General Manager, McCrea will oversee all aspects of sales, marketing, and business development. The announcement was officially made today by Ed Hamilton, President of Ed Hamilton & Co.

McCrea was formerly the General Manager of the US division of Sunsail, the world’s largest sailing vacation company.
McCrea, 36, originally from Rockport, Maine, grew up sailing the waters of Penobscot Bay. He got his start in the yacht charter industry in 1996 as a Charter Coordinator with Sun Yacht Charters. He was quickly promoted to Sales Manager and subsequently added the role of Marketing. As Sales & Marketing Manager he oversaw the re-branding of Sun Yacht into Stardust Yacht Charters; later moving to Annapolis, Maryland to manage the merger of Stardust into Sunsail, where he was appointed General Manager of Sunsail USA.
In addition to his passion for sailing, Steve is an avid snow skier, mountain biker, and fly fisherman. He also loves to travel, and is especially inspired when exploring new cultures and connecting with diverse people. His favorite sailing areas are the Grenadines, the Spanish and British Virgin Islands, Tahiti, and of course, Penobscot Bay, Maine.
