	An article written by our staff and featured in The Charter Connection WELCOME SUSAN LENGYEL A new bareboat broker joins the Ed Hamilton team August 2008 We’re very pleased and excited to announce that Susan Lengyel joined the company in July. Susan brings with her more than just a love of sailing and travel. She spent 11 years with Sunsail, followed by a brief stint at Catamaran Charters and has a wealth of knowledge about bareboating. Early in her career she realized that there’s more to work than a 9 to 5 grind, so she joined Sunsail in 1996 to combine her love of sailing with her work and create a job she loved rather than one she could merely tolerate. It really was more than just a job to her -  she had already chartered with Sunsail twice before applying!   Steve met Susan when he came to Sunsail to oversee the merger of Sun Yacht and Stardust into Sunsail. Subsequent to the merger, he was to take over the sales team, and was immediately impressed with her. His impression wasn’t misguided - Susan was already the top salesperson at Sunsail, and in the following years she surpassed everyone's expectations. That couldn’t have been done without a love of her work, and above all, the expertise to apply to the situation. In addition to having arranged literally thousands of charters for her customers, she herself has enjoyed charter vacations all over the world. To date, Susan has sailed the BVI many, many times; the Leeward Islands from Antigua to St. Martin; the Grenadines; Tahiti; Tonga; the Whitsunday Islands of Australia; as well as a charter from Nice, France. Sailing goes beyond just vacations for the Lengyel family. Susan and husband Denny have cruised extensively on their own Tartan 30 which they had owned since 1980. Last year they took delivery of a new Beneteau 40 and look forward to expanding their cruising horizons even further. Susan can describe almost any bareboat, as well as many of the world’s most popular cruising grounds, from first hand experience.  We’re just delighted that she will now be doing so for our customers.
