In an effort to boost sales, many yachts are offering incentives for charter. Emily outlines a few of these fantastic opportunities for you.
The 72' luxury catamaran, Matau, is offering up to 9 nights for the 7 night rate (with 2 lunches and 2 dinners ashore at guests expenses). This means a charter fee that would normally cost $57,214 is now only $44,000. This lovely 2006 Privilege offers accommodations for up to 4 guests, with a spacious salon, large flat decks and a flybridge.
Similarly, the 68' custom ketch, Liberte, is offering 10 days for the price of 7 during the month of February. This yacht is inclusive of all meals and reasonable bar. They are not charging any moorings, customs, marina or delivery fees during this time. This yacht can accommodate up to 8 guests but is best suited for six. Her charter fee for 8 guests is $17,000 per week and for 6 guests is $14,500.
This trend is carried on by two more yachts, the 45' Leopard Catamaran, Viking Dream offering 8 nights for the cost of 7 (with weekday start). Crew Mark and Sally Duncan have a real knack for getting their guests to relax, but can also 'kick it up a notch' with fun games such as the 'Viking Olympics'. Her rates are $11,000/2, $11,750/4 and $12,250/6.
Also jumping on the 8 for 7 bandwagon is the 120 foot power yacht Impetuous. This 2004 Crescent offers 4 guest cabins, Jacuzzi & wet bar on the sundeck, ample sun pads and full entertainment center including a 42' plasma screen television. Her charter fee is $60,000 plus expenses. The 8 for 7 deal is exclusively for the months of January and February in the Bahamas or Florida.
Double Feature, a 57' Lagoon Catamaran crewed by Jonny Coop and Kelly Becker is offering a 10% discount on charters taking place between January 16th and February 13 as well as a 5% discount on all other charters booked. The regular charter fee for this luxury cat is $16,000/4, $17,000/6 and $18,000/8.
The economically priced Sea Chateau, a 50' Mayotte Catamaran, is offering an additional $1000 off weeklong charters ending prior to July 1st, 2009 to help combat high air fares. This cat is priced normally at: $10,500/2, $12,000/4 and $14,000/6 and offers diving, dive instruction (for an additional cost), and has just about every water toy imaginable. The crew of Paul and Jody were also formerly employed by Coral World in St. Thomas and can offer a wonderfully informative snorkel or dive tour.
The 60' Fountaine Pajot, Pas de Deux, is also offering a 'bailout special'. 5% will be taken off of
their weekly rates, and the discount jumps to 10% for any weeklong booking taking place in February. Her regular rates for the Winter 2009 season are $16,500/2 guests, $17,500/4 and $19,500/6.
One of the most impressive discounts is being offered by Taboo, an 80 foot Ocean who will charter throughout the entire Caribbean chain. This yacht boasts 5 Queen sized staterooms with ensuite heads and a crew of 4. They are offering a charter for $2,500 per person (six guest minimum), which for six guests is a savings of over $10,000! This incredible discount is only available through July 10th, 2009.
Pacific Wave is also offering a generous discount. This lovely fast 72' Monohull is reducing her weekly rate by $2500 from her regular rate of $16,000/2 guests, $17,000/4 or $18,000/6. These prices include all meals. She is available anywhere in the Eastern Caribbean.
These charter incentives are not the only deals to be found in the Caribbean however. There are many yachts offering exceptional values even without specials. Among these are 5 Star, a 2007 Beneteau catering to two guests for $6,900 (winter) and $5,900 (summer) inclusive of all meals and reasonable bar. There is also Honiara I, a 45' Beneteau who can accommodate 4 guests comfortably for only $1,850 per person per week! Another of these rare finds is the 38' Island Packet, Gypsy Queen. Captain Bob White not only offers his boat, light breakfasts, light lunches, two evening meals and ship's bar but also his local knowledge and engaging personality for just $4,300 per week for two guests.
If you have been considering chartering, but have not yet made your plans, give us a call and take advantage of the wonderful charter opportunities available right now!
