NEW BOAT NEWS

I have always enjoyed trying to analyze trends in our business and one that I have noticed is that the bigger monohulls seem to be left behind in the rush to book the now so popular catamarans.
Now don't get me wrong, cats are awesome platforms for chartering comfort and having nearly equal cabins does work well for most groups. It is however disappointing to see the best selection of large monohulls we have ever had to offer, go un-booked. Granted, some would argue that the comfort just isn't there on the monohulls, but hold on now, we have some pretty good sized boats out there nowadays. And as we all know, if you really like to sail, there just isn't anything like a well designed monohull with plenty of water line length!
As previously reported, at 63', 'Shiwara' is the largest bareboat offered for charter in The Caribbean. She offers three double cabins each with a head, plus a fourth with upper and lower single bunks. She features nearly every amenity you could want and has enough deck space for a small wedding reception.
Over on St. Thomas, VIP has added a 4 cabin Jeanneau 49, with private heads and air conditioning (another growing requirement in the notable trends category). The 49 joins their beautiful Hylas 54, which is one of the nicest boats ever available for bareboating.
Horizon now has a substantial selection of 49+ footers. Starting with their popular Bavaria 49, which has a perfect layout for mixed groups, with three double cabins plus two more with upper and lower singles, all accessible from inside the boat. Horizon also has a Jeanneau 49 with 4 cabins and 4 heads and air conditioning, plus two of the incredible new Jeanneau 54DS's each with a slightly different layout. These boats have way too much equipment to list here, but it would suffice to say, although it's more than you need for chartering, it's fun to have anyway. Can you say electric winches and a bow thruster! Yes I know, it takes practice.
Just so you know, Horizon will be adding a new Beneteau 523 in November, Sunsail and BVI Yacht Charters have this yacht available now. This 5 cabin yacht is absolutely beautiful, and again all cabins are accessible from inside the boat. Speaking of BVI Yacht Charters, their Dufour Atoll 50 has 6 cabins! Affectionately know as the "School Bus" this boat is great for a family or any large group that just wants a yacht with plenty of social space and a bunch of places to sleep.
Last but certainly not least, TMM has a beautiful Jeanneau 52 with 4 cabins and heads, A/C, a generator, a microwave oven, and roller furling main sail. Just pull the strings and go! What's not to like?
If any of these options are of interest we would love to talk you about them. Give us a call and we can move ahead towards finding the perfect yacht for that ultimate sailing holiday.
