Motor charter yacht Essence
This lovely 88' Broward, now called 'Essence', is quite different to any other Broward we have seen. Her new owner, Jim, has just completed a massive refit. The formica is all gone and she has a beautiful cherry wood interior. The yacht looks new!

The master cabin has a full king bed and his/her heads (his is rather dark and masculine, while hers is prettier!). The two aft cabins are identical, with queen berths and attractive pale marble in the heads. All berths have additional padded tops so are particularly comfortable. Every cabin has a TV.

The salon is open and spacious, with large windows. The owner is justifiably proud of his custom dining table, but most guests tend to eat on the aft deck in a less formal setting. There is also seating and a sunning area forward and on the flybridge.

Essence salonOn a boat this size, the crew is very important and we particularly liked this young Australian couple. Glen Brain and Merrillie Insch used to run a ski lodge together, back in Australia, which accommodated up to 22 guests. Both enjoy entertaining guests and would be good with children (but all cabins have double berths). Hobbies include fly fishing, scuba diving, golf, yoga (her), travel, camping and a general love of the outdoors.

Glen has worked in a number of different marine fields since 1997 and captained a variety of different yachts, from sport fishing boats on the Barrier Reef to racing sailboats. He has run whale and dolphin research charters and has taken part in several scientific research explorations.

Like Glen, Merrillie is outgoing and friendly. She's also a great cook (she won the chowder competition at the recent show in Newport, against some larger, more expensive yachts). They have been together for 12 years.

Essence master cabinAt $32,000 plus expenses, this boat would be fairly priced, but to get things started, her new owner is offering her for $25,000 plus expenses, to the first 5 groups that charter her for a week in New England. We really do feel she offers exceptional value.

If 'Essence' sounds interesting, email us, or request more information. She will be in New England for the rest of the summer and in The Caribbean next winter.
