Greetings friends,

First off some news. BVI Yacht Charters just announced that as of June 1 they have moved their base from Village Cay Marina, to Joma Marina, which is next door to Port Purcell. This is on the Eastern portion of Roadtown Harbor and depending upon the weather, could be a bit "rolly" for sleepaboards (at least until the breakwater gets extended, which may be while). They have outgrown their Village Cay base, so it should be a good move for all concerned. This facility is still only a couple of minutes from town by cab so all of the usual shopping and accommodation facilities are available.

Horizon Yacht Charters, with bases in Grenada, Antigua and Tortola, recently decided to allow some of the boats in their Antigua fleet to start out of St. Martin. These will include the three cabin, 2 head Bavaria 40, the 4 cabin, 2 head Jeanneau 43DS and the 4 cabin, 4 head Leopard 45 (Moorings 4500) catamaran. In addition to these yachts, they are adding a Bavaria 42 in January of '07 and a second Bavaria 40 in October. Both will be able to start in either location. They will also continue to offer the very desirable one way charters from Antigua to St. Martin, which can make a great 10 day trip.

Other news regarding boats. Here is what we have been told about new arrivals planned for at the Catamaran Company.
"Dignity" 2006 Lagoon 420-available mid January 2007
"Leu Cat"-2006 Lagoon 440-3 cabin, owners version-available mid August 2006
"Island Girl" 2007 Lagoon 440-4 cabin, charter version-available late December 2006
"Sunluver"-2007 Lagoon 440-3 cabin, owners version-available early December
"Samantha"-2003 Lagoon 43 Power Cat-4 cabin, charter version-available now

Last time I mentioned that TMM was planning to add a Nautitech 47 catamaran to Tortola and that now seems official. This is a loaded boat with everything you would expect in a bareboat of this type. If you are thinking of the quality of the old Nautitech's, forget it. This is a whole new boat and is as nice as anything out there. Book early - this one is going to be a hot boat (not literally of course, she has air conditioning.) TMM is also planning to move the 4 cabin, 2 head Belize 43 'Sunny Skies', from their Belize base down to St. Vincent later this fall. This is good news as we never seem to have enough cats in that area.

Our traditional quiet time in April and May has now ended and there is a lot of action for this fall and next winter, as well as the "ooops, I forgot to book my summer charter", last minute folks. The holidays are already heavily booked, but I'm sure we could still find something if you don't already have your plans in order. That's all for now I guess, give us a call with your thoughts and questions and we will help you put together that next great yachting vacation!
