St. Thomas is primarily a cruise ship destination
and is known for its 'duty free' shopping. Lower airfares
can sometimes make it less expensive to start a charter
in St. Thomas, but the cruising ground is primarily in
The British Virgin Island. There are good ferry services
between St. Thomas and Tortola (45 minutes) so charterers
wishing to shop in St. Thomas can do so at the end of
their trip and fly out of the USVI.
