Alessandro Sasso
Born in Bari in 1971, Alessandro Sasso has been the Captain of Jikan since 2019. Until 2002 his professional experiences outside the yachting industry where mostly in large and medium-sized telecommunications and construction companies in Italy and the Caribbean. After his first ocean crossing he decided to take up professional yachting bringing together his passion and work. He started his marine career in 2003 working as Captain and Project Manager on luxurious sail and motor yachts. Captain Alessandro has sailed extensively in the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, the Caribbean and as far afield as Asia and the Indian ocean, with a total of more than 50,000 nm at sea
Italian mother language, he speaks fluently English, French and Spanish.
Always showing a strong work ethic combined with passion for the sea, he provides guests with an ideal cruising experience during their time on board wherever it may be.

Simone Braschi
Born in Genova in 1985, Simone Braschi is the mate/deckhand on Jikan. He has been working on yachts and racing in international regattas since 2000, with a career spanning over two decades. He gained his extensive knowledge of the seas cruising from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic and the Caribbean onboard sailing and motor yachts of medium and large size, up to 70 mt. He has IMO STCW95 certificate and Yachtmaster offshore licence for vessels up to 200 tons.
Italian mother tongue, he speaks English, French and Spanish. His funny and lively personality always ensure an enjoyable stay for the guests.

Eva Rahl
Eva brings with her nearly fifteen years of yachting experience. Born in Slovakia in 1977, she has been working as sailor, hostess and cooker since 2005. In her career she explored the Mediterranean and the Northern seas onboard sailing and power yachts of medium and large size. Eva holds international qualifications in seafaring, wine tasting and cooking (gluten-free cooking, typical Italian and Mediterranean cooking).
Slovak mother tongue, she fluently speaks Italian, English, German and Russian. She is extremely passionate about the marine life and her passion shows through in the quality of her job.
